Report, result, goals as Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr face final-day Saudi Pro League title decider

Cristiano Ronaldo and Al-Nassr must win their final match of the Saudi Pro League season to guarantee winning the title after second-placed Al-Hilal moved two points behind Jorge Jesus’s side by beating Neom at Riyadh’s Kingdom Arena.

Portugal midfielder Ruben Neves converted a ninth-minute penalty before Saudi Arabia winger Sultan Mandash struck from inside the box 13 minutes into the second half as Simone Inzaghi’s side took the campaign to the wire following their 1-1 draw at Al-Nassr courtesy of a 98th-minute winner on Tuesday.

Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo has twice been the Saudi top-flight top scorer but is yet to be a champion of the division since joining the club at the start of 2023.

Al-Nassr host Damac, who are two points above the relegation zone, in their finale on Thursday (21:00 BST / 16:00 ET / 13:00 PT).

Al-Hilal visit Al-Fayha, who are certain to finish between ninth and 12th, in their simultaneous final game, when they must win and hope Al-Nassr do not.

Saudi tiebreakers prioritise head-to-head records between teams, which will give Al-Hilal the title if the top two finish level on points because they have taken four points from Al-Nassr this season.
