Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has his sights on signing Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez if he is re-elected as the club’s president.

Fernandez has been heavily linked with the La Liga giants over the past year and he recently admitted his desire to play for the Madrid heavyweights.

The Blues suspended him for a couple of matches as a result, but this has not ended speculation regarding his future ahead of the summer transfer window.

It is now claimed that Perez has his sights on another presidential term. If he were to retain his role, Fernandez could emerge as a top transfer target.

Perez has already decided to bring Jose Mourinho back as manager, and he also plans to appoint Toni Kroos to the hierarchy.

The next step could be to recruit Fernandez. It will take at least 100 million pounds to persuade Chelsea to part ways with the World Cup winner.

The Blues have not given up on keeping the talented ace. They have opened negotiations with the player’s agents over a new long-term contract.
