Manchester United have made their managerial decision on Andoni Iraola before the end of the season.
The Red Devils parted ways with Ruben Amorim at the start of the year and appointed Michael Carrick as their interim manager.
Under Carrick’s tutelage, United have been the best side in the Premier League over the last four months.
Their form has propelled them into third in the Premier League, and they have already qualified for the Champions League.
Iraola has been linked with the permanent vacancy in recent weeks, but United don’t seem interested at this stage.
They are not looking at the Spanish tactician for the role, but a final decision will be made this month.
Carrick has done a tremendous job as the caretaker, and looks a hot favourite to become the permanent head coach.
United’s hierarchy admire Carrick’s involvement in the turnaround and could hand him a long-term deal very soon.
Once that is done, the focus could turn to summer transfers.
