Lens pile pressure on PSG in Ligue 1 title race

Lens cut the gap to Paris Saint-Germain in the Ligue 1 title race to three points by beating Nantes 1-0.

After Abdallah Sima had a goal disallowed for handball, his 16-year-old team-mate Mezian Soares secured victory for Lens, Andrija Bulatovic teeing him up to find the bottom-right corner.

While the result piles pressure on PSG, who face Brest on Sunday, to hold serve ahead of a meeting with Lens next weekend, it also condemns second-bottom Nantes to relegation to Ligue 2.

In the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund came from behind to beat Eintracht Frankfurt 3-2.

Can Yilmaz Uzun gave Frankfurt the lead, but their hopes of European football were dented as second-placed Dortmund secured victory through goals from Serhou Guirassy, Nico Schlotterbeck and teenager Samuele Inacio.

Jonathan Burkardt pulled one back late on for Frankfurt, before Dortmund brought on Niklas Sule for a farewell to Signal Iduna Park. The 30-year-old will retire at the end of the season.

LaLiga strugglers Levante fought back from 2-0 down to move within a point of safety with a 3-2 win over Osasuna.

Vitor Garcia’s double restored parity for the hosts after a Jeremy Toljan own goal and an Ante Budimir strike had give Osasuna command.

Osasuna played the second half with 10 men after goalkeeper Sergio Herrera was sent off for handling outside the area, and Levante’s numerical advantage eventually told when Karl Etta Eyong headed home Alan Matturro’s cross to seal the points.

The only game in Serie A on Friday saw Torino beat Sassuolo 2-1.
