Manchester United are weighing up a surprise move for Lyon winger Afonso Moreira ahead of the summer transfer window, according to A Bola.
The Red Devils are planning to strengthen their left-wing department at the end of the season and are exploring a young option for the same.
Moreira has reportedly caught the eye with his standout season at Lyon. The 21-year-old has made 19 goal contributions for Les Gones thus far.
He has primarily played on the left side of the attack and has also impressed with his defensive output in terms of winning duels and making recoveries.
Lyon purchased him from Sporting for just £2 million last summer and seem prepared to sanction his sale for a package of around £25 million.
United are among the frontrunners to land his signature, but may have to be proactive to ensure that they don’t face any fresh interest for the player.
Moreira is open to making the switch to the Premier League.
