View Arsenal summer 2026 transfer targets
Arsenal have made a concrete move to sign Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez at the end of the campaign, according to Media Foot.
The Gunners are expected to pursue a new striker at the end of the season and have their sights on landing Alvarez from Atletico this summer.
The club have now initiated talks with the representative of the former Manchester City man and want to reach an agreement with him first.
As things stand, they have not agreed on anything with the World Cup winner. Arsenal want to finalise personal terms before making a formal bid.
Alvarez has been one of the best strikers in European football in the last 18 months and he would be a top-class addition to the Gunners squad.
His arrival at the club would most certainly mean the departure of Gabriel Jesus, who is eyeing a move to Serie A in the next transfer window.
Jesus has talked up a potential switch away from the Gunners.
