Disney+ is home to much more than the animated features the studio is known for. The conglomerate’s young streaming service also provides content from Disney-owned franchises and companies such as National Geographic, Star Wars, and ESPN.
The seven-year-old streamer is a one-stop shop for a variety of films, documentaries, specials, sporting events, and more. The Disney+ and Hulu bundle further expands the streamer’s library, providing subscribers with content from both sweeping platforms. Together, Disney+ and Hulu offer a constant stream of diverse, quality content, with new titles arriving every month.
Hulu most commonly acquires or produces adult-oriented features and offers a balance of art films and raunchy comedies. Meanwhile, Disney+ offers family-friendly features and documentaries. In April 2026, Disney+ and Hulu are collectively debuting a diverse array of fantastic new movies, including highly anticipated blockbusters and hidden gems.
Zootopia 2 (2025)
Zootopia 2 has been dominating the Disney+ charts since its streaming release on March 11. This is the latest Disney animated feature to hit Disney+ and remains a relatively new must-watch.
Zootopia 2 expands on beloved characters from the 2016 original and introduces a new favorite, Gary De’Snake (Ke Huy Quan). The Oscar-nominated film has proven a hit among viewers of all ages, with a 95% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. It also garnered significant attention during its theatrical release, making $428 million at the U.S. box office and $1.8 billion worldwide.
The sequel’s stellar box office performance has carried over to streaming, and the film has remained at the top of the Disney+ watch list since its arrival last month. This continued attention has strengthened the potential for a third Zootopia movie.
Pizza Movie (2026)
Pizza Movie is available on Disney+ through the Hulu-Disney bundle, as of April 3.
Written and directed by sketch-comedy duo Nick Kocher and Brian McElhaney, Pizza Movie has a simple premise. College students Jack (Gaten Matarazzo) and Montgomery (Sean Giambrone) go to grab a pizza delivery from their dorm lobby. All that stands in their way is the psychedelic drug they took earlier that night.
The Hulu original has become an early highlight in the stoner comedy sub-genre. Matarazzo discusses the film’s key to success with fellow Pizza Movie actor, Caleb Hearon, on his podcast, So True with Caleb Hearon. As Matarazzo explains, the creators didn’t attempt to make a movie with mass appeal. Rather, Kocher and McElhaney identified and catered to the film’s niche audience.
The product is an absurd, sometimes gross, yet ultimately hysterical late-night comedy.
No Other Choice (2025)
The latest film from renowned director Park Chan-wook, No Other Choice, is a hilarious yet sobering satire on the brutality of capitalist competition amid dwindling opportunity.
The South Korean dark comedy follows a recently laid-off man as he brutally eliminates the competition for a new job. The film shares DNA with another dark satire on class structure, Parasite, while distinguishing itself as something entirely its own.
The film oscillates between slapstick comedy, thrilling mystery, and poignant commentary—sometimes within a single scene. No Other Choice has received positive reviews, including an 8/10 from Screen Rant. Produced by Neon, No Other Choice arrives on Hulu and Disney+ on April 24 for bundle subscribers.
Sentimental Value (2025)
The Oscar-winning Norwegian film Sentimental Value is now streaming on Hulu and Disney+. The touching film explores complex family dynamics as two sisters reconnect with their estranged father, a once-prominent director.
Sentimental Value won the 2026 Academy Award for Best International Feature, one of the film’s nine nominations. Considered one of the best movies of 2025, Sentimental Value has received critical and popular acclaim. It boasts a perfect score from Screen Rant and a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Sentimental Value is one of the must-see films from last year. As of March 23, Hulu and Disney+ subscribers can stream Sentimental Value alongside other 2026 Oscar nominees on the platforms, including The Secret Agent.
Orangutan (2026)
Disneynature’s original documentary, Orangutan, premieres on Disney+ this Earth Day, April 22. A division of Disney Entertainment, Disneynature specializes in the production of nature documentaries.
Orangutan follows an adolescent orangutan, Indah, as she prepares to leave her family and navigate the world on her own, for the first time. While it unfolds among a family of orangutans, the documentary tells an age-old story that every child and parent can relate to. That is, the inevitable and bittersweet moment when childhood comes to an end.
The 87-minute documentary film is narrated by a familiar voice, Josh Gad. Gad is known as the voice of Olaf in Disney’s Frozen franchise. Orangutan will join Disney+’s dedicated Earth Month collection, among other Disneynature and National Geographic nature content.
Good Boy (2025)
The canine-centered horror movie, Good Boy, is coming to Hulu and Disney+ on April 25. The unique film could be likened to the unexpectedly terrifying 1990s kids’ show, Courage the Cowardly Dog. Good Boy is a haunted house horror film that centers on the family dog as he attempts to protect his owners from an evil presence only he sees.
Opening in theaters on October 3, 2025, it grossed $6.6 million at the U.S. box office and $8.7 million worldwide. With a budget of just $2 million, Good Boy has received largely positive reviews. It earned a 6/10 from the Screen Rant review, which described the horror flick as “Weirdly Comforting.”
The canine lead is played by director Ben Leonberg’s real-life dog, Indy. Indy has received much acclaim for his acting debut, in which he gave an undeniably captivating performance.
