There’s an 8-part sci-fi action series on Prime Video that you can binge in just one night, and it’s well worth it. The Boys will be coming to an end soon, with season 5 set to debut on April 8, 2026, but there are thankfully a few auxiliary The Boys shows to watch if you haven’t gotten to them yet.
Gen V and The Boys Presents: Diabolical are spin-off series, and while Gen V might take some time to get through, you can easily binge through the entirety of The Boys Presents: Diabolical in just one night, and probably with enough time to watch an episode of Gen V while you’re at it.
The Boys Presents: Diabolical Is An Adult-Animated Anthology Series You Can Finish In One Night
The Boys Presents: Diabolical is an eight-episode animated anthology set in The Boys universe. Episodes are set before and during The Boys timeline, though they have little effect on the events of the main show. Each episode only runs between 13 and 15 minutes, making for a breezy watch.
Every episode of the series is written and directed by a different creative team, and each has a different art style, comic sensibility, and tone. Justin Roiland brings his Rick and Morty style to episode 2, Andy Samberg writes a Korean horror-inspired episode, and Awkwafina arrives to voice the strangest character in the franchise.
The series features returning The Boys cast members like Chace Crawford, Antony Starr, and Giancarlo Esposito, but also replaces some regulars, like having Jason Isaacs voice Billy Butcher in episode 3. The anthology is full of the mayhem and comedy of The Boys, but in a tighter package.
Each Episode Of The Boys Presents: Diabolical Is Great
Every episode of the Boys Presents: Diabolical is excellent, and each contains the unique sensibilities of the main show, which make the viewer feel like just about anything could happen. In Diabolical, we see the early years of Homelander (Starr) learning he won’t be punished for incidental violence.

We see the bloody results of Vaught’s testing. We even learn how Compound V can come to infect inanimate things like waste products and cancer cells, perhaps a hint about Butcher’s (Karl Urban) fate in The Boys season 5. These shorts are satirical, smart, and much more satisfying than any 15-minute episode has a right to be.
Why There Won’t Be Another Season Of The Boy Presents: Diabolical
Sadly, it doesn’t sound like we’re going to get another season of The Boys Presents: Diabolical. Showrunner Simon Racioppa has explained that the season of Diabolical was always supposed to be a one-off, not a show with multi-season aspirations. The series was meant to be a placeholder while COVID-19 delayed The Boys.
There are other The Boys projects in the works, though. Gen V season 3 still seems to be on the table, and the prequel series, Vought Rising, is still planned. But another season of The Boys Presents: Diabolical would probably receive a warm reception as long as it retained the quality of season 2.
