New Nintendo Hardware Leaks, Will Coincide With Ocarina Of Time Remake

It has been almost three decades since The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time first released, and with fans calling out for a remake, it seems as though Nintendo has finally answered our prayers. In recent weeks, a leak has suggested that an official Ocarina of Time remake is on the way. However, that is not all, as it is also rumored to launch alongside an exciting piece of limited-edition hardware.

The Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Remake Is A Big One, Apparently

Being widely regarded as one of the best video games of all time, it is no wonder that a The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake will be a big deal for both Nintendo and fans. According to well-known leaker and insider NateTheHate, the remake will launch as early as the second half of 2026, and it will likely be officially announced at June’s Nintendo Direct showcase.

With it expected to be a “fully-fledged remake”, it seems as though Nintendo will not be taking any half measures, especially when it comes to its launch day. That is because, according to fellow insider Shpeshal Nick in a since deleted Tweet, the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake will arrive alongside a Zelda-themed Limited Edition Switch 2 console. “As a follow-up to the below, from what I’ve been told we’re getting a Zelda-themed Limited Edition Switch 2 console,” the post read. “Not sure if the game will be bundled or not.”

Of course, it is worth taking this news with a pinch of salt, as neither the remake nor limited-edition console have been officially confirmed by Nintendo, but as two reputable leakers, it is hard not to get excited over this potential release.

Releasing a whole Nintendo Switch 2 alternate console to coincide with the launch of a game is big news indeed, but it just goes to show how long fans have been waiting for a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Additionally, this could mean that any potential remake will be a Switch 2 exclusive, and may not be ported to the Nintendo Switch as well. Nevertheless, this is all speculation for now, but that has not stopped fans over on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours from sharing their thoughts on the recent leaks.

“Was waiting for this or a Pokémon themed one to finally get a Switch 2,” one user commented. “Hopefully they make a good number of them because I imagine there’s plenty of people specifically waiting for a themed console to finally bite.” Another asked, “Why did I get a Switch 2 too early?” alongside a facepalming emoji. It seems as though Nintendo is on to a winner with this potential release, so all we can do now is hope and pray that these leaks are real and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake launches soon.
