12 Upcoming Netflix Shows You Cannot Miss

After a strong start in Q1, Netflix‘s most exciting releases of 2026 are still to come. For over a decade, the platform has created some of the most iconic modern TV shows and movies, leading many to dub the platform the unofficial winner of the streaming wars, edging out competitors like Hulu, Apple TV, and HBO Max.

Although there are plenty of imaginative Netflix original movies coming in 2026, the streaming service has always particularly excelled when it comes to its television. From critically acclaimed Netflix series to more avant-garde offerings with cult followings, the streaming service’s lush library of TV titles will only flourish in the coming months with Q2’s highly-anticipated releases.

XO, Kitty (Season 3)

Coming To Netflix: April 2

Kitty and Min-ho in XO, Kitty season 3.

Jenny Han’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy may be one of Netflix’s most successful projects to date, but sequel spinoff XO, Kitty has proven to be a force of nature of its own. Following the titular Katherine “Kitty” Song-Covey (Anna Cathcart), XO, Kitty is a timeless story of young love and self-discovery.

From XO, Kitty‘s endearing cast of characters to the scenic South Korean setting, the teen drama has charmed millions of viewers across its first two seasons. With Kitty now poised to finish her senior year of high school at the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS), XO, Kitty season 3 will be the most dramatic entry yet.

Since it was first announced, Netflix’s Man on Fire remake has been on every action fan’s radar. Based on A. J. Quinnell’s 1980 novel of the same name, Man on Fire will center on John Creasy (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), a former special forces agent who turns his life around to protect his beloved daughter.

For fans of the 2004 film of the same name starring Denzel Washington, Netflix’s Man on Fire will still offer something new. The 2026 thriller may have the same basic premise, but it will also incorporate important plot points and character arcs from A. J. Quinnell’s sequel novel, The Perfect Kill, making for a much more enriching series.

Devil May Cry (Season 2)

Coming To Netflix: May 12

Dante and Mary Ann Arkham enter through a doorway together in Devil May Cry season 2

The Devil May Cry video game franchise has been adapted for television before, but Netflix’s 2025 anime was an instant favorite for longtime fans and newcomers alike. Just like the games, Netflix’s Devil May Cry centers on Dante (voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch), a demon hunter who is ironically half-demon himself.

The original Devil May Cry video game released in 2001, meaning the franchise is nearly 25-years-old.

The killer-for-hire has his own rogue code of conduct, but he must team up with the very forces who wish to apprehend him when a common enemy— the misanthropic White Rabbit (Hoon Lee)— aims to eradicate humanity altogether. Nevertheless, Devil May Cry season 2 will only up the ante by following up on the first season’s most tragic twists.

The live-action adaptation of Agent from Above was first announced in 2019, but obstacles from workplace injuries to the COVID-19 pandemic kept pushing back its release date. All the while, devotees of the Xing Zi’s The Oracle Comes novel series waited patiently for the fantasy-action fusion to come to fruition.

Thankfully, the show’s nearly 7-year development has come to an end, and Agent from Above‘s Netflix release has been confirmed. Beyond visually-stunning action sequences, Agent from Above will seamlessly blend modern fantasy with traditional Taoist mythology. Chiefly, the Taiwanese series will follow Han Chieh (Kai Ko), a skilled criminal who becomes supernaturally indentured to a fearsome god.

Just as Kim Geon-woo (Woo Do-hwan) begins climbing the ranks as a talented young boxer, his dear mother becomes the victim of an exploitative loan shark organization called Smile Capital. Alongside his new partner Hong Woo-jin (Lee Sang-yi), Geon-woo uses his formal Marine training and his street smarts to seek vengeance.

12 Upcoming K-Dramas You Cannot Miss

There have already been countless unforgettable Korean shows released in the last three months, but 2026 has many more must-watch K-dramas on the way.

Bloodhounds isn’t only an action-packed K-drama about revenge, but there’s no denying it maintains a certain appeal thanks to its high-octane fight scenes. Given how successful the first installment was, Bloodhounds season 2 has big shoes to fill— but the dynamic duo is sure to impress regardless of what their future endeavors hold.

Big Mistakes

Coming To Netflix: April 9

Dan Levy and Taylor Ortega are being taken by a man in Big Mistakes

It’s been almost five years since comedic powerhouse Dan Levy signed an exclusive deal with Netflix, but Big Mistakes will hopefully be the first of many iconic shows created in conjunction with the streaming juggernaut. Levy skyrocketed to fame following his transcendent performance as David Rose in the Emmy-winning comedy Schitt’s Creek, but his talents extend far beyond acting.

Nonetheless, Dan Levy’s new Netflix show may just be the perfect Schitt’s Creek replacement. In the upcoming sitcom, Levy’s Nicky and Taylor Ortega’s Morgan will team up as a lovably dysfunctional pair of siblings who are thrown headfirst into a vast criminal conspiracy. Good Grief proved Levy’s directorial prowess, but Big Mistakes will return to the filmmaker’s hilarious roots.

Berlin (Season 2)

Coming To Netflix: May 15

Building off the stardom of Netflix’s beloved international crime drama, Berlin season 1 was a faultless prequel to Money Heist. Focused on the eponymous criminal mastermind, Andrés de Fonollosa (Pedro Alonso), Berlin introduces an entirely new group of thieves and an exciting new mark: a €44 million jewel heist.

In the process of staking out his fall guy, however, Berlin finds himself inexplicably developing feelings for his target’s wife. The spinoff adds incredible depth to one of Money Heist‘s most intriguing characters, and Berlin season 2 will only further hone its addictive formula.

Viral Hit

Some of Netflix’s best series take inspiration from Asian webcomics, and the upcoming live-action adaptation of Viral Hit is a prime example. The original webtoon has amassed over 2 billion views, but Netflix’s Japanese action drama could introduce countless new fans to the captivating story.

Viral Hit follows Kota Shimura (Oji Suzuka), an outcast high school student who leverages his lack of popularity to become an online sensation. As the punny title implies, Kota builds a viral brand by fighting his bullies, but his newfound fame threatens to blur the line between him and his oppressors.

Arguably the most surprising breakout hit of 2025 was Running Point, a sports-centered comedy with a star-studded cast. Kate Hudson leads the ensemble as Isla Gordon, a lifelong basketball lover who unexpectedly becomes president of her family’s legendary team, the Los Angeles Waves.

Throughout the pilot season, Isla battles impostor syndrome, institutional sexism, and a failed coup d’état, but her hard work pays off when the middling team makes it all the way to game seven of the playoffs. Even still, Running Point season 1’s cliffhanger ending leaves the Waves’ future uncertain at best— making season 2 a must-watch follow-up.

Aside from the classic anime available on Netflix, the streaming service also creates fresh animated series, like the upcoming coming-of-age rom-com, The Ramparts of Ice. Based on the manga of the same title, the Netflix anime will focus on Koyuki Hikawa (Anna Nagase), a reclusive student who finds herself suddenly surrounded by her outgoing peers.

Soon enough, Koyuki Hikawa is part of an unlikely but nonetheless wholesome friend group. As she breaks down her self-imposed walls, however, the young woman must open herself up to the unfamiliarity of life, love, and the terrifying ordeal of being truly known.
