Network TV has several intriguing episodes to look forward to in the week of October 27 to November 1, 2025. With the TV cycle of 2025-2026 now in full swing, fans are now busier than ever with several outings coming out every night. CBS, NBC, and ABC have all established new seasons for all of their offerings for the rest of the year, which means procedurals and comedies are now starting to get into their season-long narratives.
What makes this upcoming week so interesting is that some shows are taking advantage of the Halloween celebrations to craft stories that are spookier than usual. CBS’ Ghosts has always come up with an outing that leans on the holiday, and this year, it will do that as well. Meanwhile, even procedurals such as Brilliant Minds season 2 and Chicago Fire season 14 are also coming up with in-theme episodes.
Beyond that, other shows such as NCIS: Origins season 2, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage season 2, and Grey’s Anatomy season 22 are offering non-Halloween stories, but are still interesting nonetheless. Check out the complete list of network TV shows to look forward to this coming week.
Monday (October 27)
FBI Season 8, Episode 4, “Boy Scout”
FBI season 8 started on shaky ground, following Isobel’s cliffhanger ending from the season 7 finale. So far, Jubal has been able to take over the team’s operations on his own, with Maggie, OA, and Scola doing the best that they could on the ground. After the subtle attempt to set up its CIA spinoff, FBI season 8 is poised to come up with another vital outing, with “Boy Scout” confirmed to introduce Juliana Aidén Martinez as Eva Ramos.
After a young man is found beaten to death on federal land, Scola and Special Agent Eva Ramos (new series regular Juliana Aidén Martinez) hit a roadblock when their case intersects with a DEA operation. Meanwhile, there is a potential shake-up inside of the JOC, on FBI.
Brilliant Minds Season 2, Episode 6, “The Doctor’s Graveyard”
The holiday spirit is coming to Bronx General with a personal arc for Dr. Wolf that is both spooky and uncomfortable. Per NBC, the good doctor will have someone from his past haunt him. Meanwhile, the rest of the doctors are in for a shock when a seeming dead patient comes back to the world of liviing.
Dr. Wolf is haunted by a ghost from his past; a patient arrives at Bronx General who appears to have risen from the dead.
Tuesday (October 28)
NCIS: Origins Season 2, Episode 3, “The Edge”
NCIS: Origins season 2 has been leaning on nostalgia with the introduction of various characters previously appearing in the flagship series. The CBS prequel spinoff, however, is building on that with the arrival of Dr. Ducky Mallard in Camp Pendleton as a liaison from the Navy Yard office. This creates some touching moments between him and “Jethro,” while creating turmoil in the office.
When Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard, a liaison from D.C. headquarters and an old acquaintance of Gibbs’, arrives to evaluate whether Pendleton needs an in-house medical examiner, not everyone trusts that’s the real reason behind his visit.
High Potential Season 2, Episode 7, “The One That Got Away”
Because it premiered earlier than the majority of the shows on network TV, High Potential season 2 is set for its fall finale this Tuesday. Major Crimes’ case looks like an interesting one, as Morgan and Karadec tackle art theft. While the team has a phenomenal record thus far, they are bringing in an art connoisseur to help crack the mystery. Because it’s a special episode, it also promises more updates on Roman’s backpack.
When a priceless painting is stolen in a museum heist, Morgan and Karadec team up with an art-recovery expert to unravel a tangled case and fierce ownership battle; Soto is determined to uncover the secrets hidden inside Roman’s backpack.
Wednesday (October 29)
Chicago Fire Season 14, Episode 5, “Ghosts”
So much has changed in Firehouse 51 in the last few years, but this week, instead of a typical Halloween party — something that it has done before, it juggles several arcs in its upcoming hour with Cruz, Mouch, and newbie, Vasquez, at the center. That said, one thing that the synopsis doesn’t mention is Kidd getting injured in a call. It’s safe to say that she will survive, but it’s still an intriguing situation.
Cruz hunts for the identity of an unknown ally; Mouch takes steps to help a friend; Vasquez must make a difficult choice.
Abbott Elementary Season 5, Episode 5, “Camping”
Barbara gets the spotlight in Abbott Elementary season 5, episode 5, as she “organizes a Halloween camping trip for older kids.” Interestingly, not much else is revealed about what else is going on in the outing. That said, the fact that it hasn’t revealed much may hint that there’s something bigger going down in it. At the very least, a Barbara-centric episode is never a bad thing.
Thursday (October 30)
Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Season 2, Episode 3, “A Will and a Dead Man’s Wife”
Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage season 2 has focused on leaving its Young Sheldon ties behind thus far, but that’s about to change in episode 3. “A Will and a Dead Man’s Wife” will see the return of both Mary and Missy for a storyline that would see the Cooper family matriarch dipping her toes back into dating. The spinoff sequel is already a year removed from the death of George, so it makes sense for Mary to revisit romance. Back in the McAllister home, however, things are a little more grim, as Baby Cece’s maternal grandparents redo their will.
Georgie is not ready for his mother to start dating again; Jim and Audrey struggle to make their wills.
Ghosts Season 5, Episode 3, “Halloween 5: The Mummy”
As previously mentioned, every year, Ghosts go all out for Halloween. Kicking off season 5 with Carol being sucked off, CBS is looking to top off that major plot twist with another expansion to the lore, which is the introduction of a mummy ghost. It’s unclear how exactly this happened or when the spirit has been hiding before Sam and Jay find them, but that’s why Ghosts season 5, episode 3 is something to look forward to this week.
Sam and Jay’s Halloween takes a spooky turn when they accidentally unleash a mummy ghost.
9-1-1 Season 9, Episode 4, “Reentry”
A sillier and out-of-this-world case marks 9-1-1‘s attempt at making amends for Bobby’s death, which was supposedly for realism. Despite that, the 4-part premiere for season 9 hasn’t been short of emotional moments for everyone involved. This week, Athena and Hen’s forray into space is set to close with their expedition expected to come back to Earth. The whole experience, however, is set to finally push Athena forward after losing her husband.
As Athena and Hen navigate their way back home, Athena will be forced to confront what it means to live without Bobby.
Grey’s Season 22, Episode 4, “Goodbye Horses”
Grey’s Anatomy season 22 only has a few episodes in, but it feels like so much has already happened this year. Natalie died, Link survived, Maggie returned, and Amelia went on sabbatical. This week, ABC’s longest-running show will see the return of 2 familiar faces — Sophia Bush’s Sam, who is fully blown in an affair with Teddy, and Jesse William’s Jackson. Elsewhere, the interns are faced with an odd patient situation. All in all, while it doesn’t have any Halloween spirit, it seems like a solid episode for network TV.
The interns juggle a bizarre trauma; a complex breast reconstruction forces Meredith into a tense partnership.
